Dallas Mavericks Injury Report: Luka Doncic Downgraded Ahead of Crucial Game

Doncic Faces Questionable Status, Mavs Await Results of MRI

Mavs Star Injured in Previous Game, Team Hopes for Quick Recovery

Boston, Massachusetts - With the Dallas Mavericks set to face the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the team has released its injury report, which includes a concerning update on star guard Luka Doncic.

Doncic, who suffered a spooky-looking hamstring injury in the Mavericks' previous game against the Golden State Warriors, has been downgraded to questionable ahead of Tuesday's matchup. According to ESPN, Doncic underwent an MRI Friday morning to determine the severity of the injury.

The MRI results are expected to provide a clearer picture of Doncic's status for Game 2. However, the Mavs are undoubtedly hoping for a quick recovery from their franchise player, who is averaging 34.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 9.9 assists in the playoffs.

In addition to Doncic's hamstring issue, the Mavericks are also monitoring the health of center Kristaps Porzingis, who appeared to tweak his right leg in the fourth quarter of Game 1. Porzingis, who has been dealing with knee soreness throughout the playoffs, is listed as probable for Game 2.

The Mavs' injury concerns come at a crucial time as they head into Game 2 down 1-0 to the Celtics. A loss in Game 2 would put the Mavericks in a difficult position, as they would return home trailing 2-0 in the series.

The Mavericks will be hoping for positive news on Doncic's MRI and will be doing everything possible to get their star player back on the court as soon as possible.
